4) Discuss Your Views On Religion | 30 Day Blog Challenge

You know what? Here's what I really think about religion

This world is a prison and the only way to escape it is by devoting yourself fully to a religion. Yes, I see the world as a prison, a prison without a cage where every person is free to do whatever they want and whatever their heart desire. But that's the problem, we are a slave to our desire. We desire a lot of things; money, fame, power, lust, you name it. And these desires could turn into your weakness if you didn't control it.

We see in the news every single day where they are people who misuse their power in order to gain more money, and there are also some people that marry or having a relationship with their own father/daughter/mother/son and they put forward the "love is blind" term in order to justify their action. The world is sick and religion is the only way to cure it.

Every desire can be use for a good cause when you know the limits and boundaries, when you based your every action on your religion guidelines. Use your money to help those in needs, use your power to bring justice to the oppressed minorities, use your love to spread kindness all around. The world will thank you, I promise.

Anyway, at the end of day we are all humans. We make mistakes and we tend to neglect our religion although we know how important it is to keep ourselves devoted to God. I know that I'm not a pious person. I am nowhere near good, I am no better than you. But let's just see this post as a reminder to all of us to become better, together.

Monochrome Lovin' | OOTD

I've been taking some time off from blogging but hey, I'm back. I know that I wanted to make some changes to my blog and one of the things is posting my ootds here. I know I'm not Shea Rasol or Vivy Yusof but hey, there's no hurt in trying to take better care of my appearance right? I also don't own luxurious items but you don't always have to spend a fortune to look good kan kan kan? I've been so selekeh all these years, but now that I'm 23 years old, it's time to change that hehe

So here's some photos of my monochrome outfit. I've been into black and white a lot lately, like it's literally my color palette now lol

Top: Poplook
Bottom: New Look
Shoes: Zalora
Bag: Vincci (borrowed it from my sister)
Rings: Primark
Necklace: Can't remember, I think it's from Vincci too?

Ten Things

1. I am not a huge fan of football but congrats to Kedah for winning the Piala Malaysia yesterday!

2. It's been raining thunderstorm every single evening now. Let's hope that this monsoon season will end soon.

3. Too Faced Sweet Peach will be making a comeback at Sephora in November (U.S) and January next year for Malaysia. I've been eyeing this pallete for so long but it was sold out last April. I really wish that Too Faced would consider making this palette a fixed instead of a limited edition.

4. I've been exercising regularly these past few weeks and I loveeee how it shows on my skin! They look so much healthier now yayy.

5. The new Converse Nude Collection is said to have been made of cow and pig skin. A sad news to all of us Muslims who were planning on getting those shoes lol

6. Not a big fan of kpop anymore but I think I like the new girl group called BlackPink since they remind me a lot of 2NE1, which was my all time favorite back then.

7. Just found out that iced drinks doesn't make you fat or buncit. It's a myth all along! But, don't consume it excessively because everything that is taken in a large quantity is never healthy, even if it is green tea. Remember that.

8. Talking about iced drinks, I've been obsessing over iced coffee lately haih. They're too good to resist.

9. Pretty Little Liars finally wrapped their filming! I have mixed emotions scrolling through the actors Instagram and watching their snap stories. Couldn't believe that I actually feel attached to the series lol.

10. I'm still jobless, not that it's a news anyway. Fingers crossed that I will get a job soon! I need money to buy makeup lol

Krim by Kula Cakes Review

To be honest it was my second time here. They didn't impress me much during my first visit but that was probably because of my high expectations towards the ice creams. My cousin haven't tried any of them yet so I thought I would accompany her and give this place a second chance.

And I'm glad that I did.

This time around I chose their waffle with Latte Almond ice cream on top and surprisingly it wasn't that bad. On my first visit I actually chose their Mango Cheesecake flavor with an expectation that it would be as good as their cake but nah, it was alright. Their cookies were also quite sweet to my liking, thus, I was disappointed a little.

So if you're a first timer and you feel like giving it a try, I'd suggest you to try their Latte Almond instead of Mango Cheesecake. A scoop of ice cream would cost you RM6.90 and the waffle + ice cream is RM12.90. However, I do feel like they are a bit overpriced since I can get a better offer at Baskin Robin's within that price range, in my personal opinion.

So if you feel like trying them first hand, you can definitely do so since every opinion differs. The cafe is located at Jalan Air Putih right in front of OCB bank. It shares the same building with the famous Cendol Air Putih (which I haven't try yet and I will). So if you're able to spot the cendol store, then you will definitely find the cafe.

But to make things easier, you can always Waze the cafe if you're not familiar with Kuantan. Here's the address: B-272 Jalan Beserah, Kuantan

The Girl On The Train | Movie Review

Well I haven't read the novel yet but I heard it was great. Many compared the novel to the one written by Gillian Flynn, Gone Girl. I loved the movie Gone Girl, so I decided to watch The Girl On The Train while having a quite high expectation; an expectation that the movie would be as good as Gone Girl.

So, was it good?

Well, I enjoyed the movie. I love the plot and the twist the movie presented. I kept guessing the whole time as who was the real character that killed Megan. I LOVE Emily Blunt's acting, she is such a brilliant actor in my opinion although I do think that her character is quite a nuisance. I mean, she shouldn't have got involved with the murder case from the very beginning. So I was pretty annoyed when she actually did her own investigation to "help" Megan's husband and etc (not gonna spoil it hehe)

So what did I dislike about this movie? It's a slow-paced movie. Everything was slowly unfolded, and then all of the sudden the secrets and conflicts between the characters were revealed quite fast. The movie also focused too much in showing Rachel's thoughts about her surroundings, her observations on people that it somehow turned to be kind of dragging and seems to be quite unnecessary at some point. So I was pretty bored during the first half of the movie.

I don't know, I just feel like there's something missing from the movie. So I had to give it a 6.5/10 rating. It wasn't a disappointment but the movie is definitely not satisfying :)

Finally Graduated!

University of York, England

BA in English Language & Linguistics

July 15th, 2016

So I guess you can consider this as another overdue entry but whatever, at least I finally updated it haha. Anyway, these three first photos were taken on the day before my graduation. Since my graduation was on the 9.30am session, we had to buy the flower bouquet a bit early. Getting my graduation flower bouquet was something that I was looking forward to, just because it was one of those special days where I (read: Ilham) can splurge some money on flowers happily (hope so lol). And honestly, I still didn't get over how beautiful my bouquet was. I mean, just look at those peonies, could they be more beautiful? I have good taste hehehe

And here are some favorite photos of the day. Hope you'll love them as much as I do! :)

Travelogue | Turkey Part III - Cappadocia

Well this one is totally an overdue post. I scrolled through my entries and I just realized that I have Cappadocia travelogue entry saved as a draft. So since I went to Turkey last March, I can barely remember the specific events (read: I'm too lazy to write so I'll just pretend that I can't remember the details :P)

So here are some photos :)
