2016 Leap Year!

I totally forgot that today is 29th February and it's a leap year! I know it's not really a big deal but I just wanted to write a post on this particular date. So I guess let's just sum up my February?

1) I just realized that I only have four months left before graduating (hopefully) this July. That is crazy.

2) I have been eating pizza over and over again this month and I do not know why. I'm addicted to it.

3) My best friend paid me a visit in York the other day and I enjoyed every moment.

4) Been loving the color coral lately and yes, I can't wait to wear a coral lipstick this coming spring and summer.

5) I think that I'm obsessed with Soap & Glory body scrub that I actually used it every single day.

6) ISA Global Week is coming in March and I can't wait for Food Fiesta!

7) This is the month where I finally feel like painting but didn't really have the time to do so.

8) Currently into using blushes. I didn't wear blushes that often before just because.

9) Yuna released her new single Crush ft Usher which I think is really amazing. And the song's good too! Haih Yuna's just amazing. Hashtag wcw. Can't wait to watch her show this coming April!

10) I'm still 50kgs because I've stopped exercising zzz

How was your February?

Mixed Feelings

Oh the reality starting to hit me now. The fact that I'm going back to Malaysia for good by this July really made me cringe. Like, I have a mixed feelings about it. I'm so done with uni's life and I can't wait for it to be over but at the same time I don't want to face the adulthood just yet. I'm never ready to start working and having to figure out life.

Time moves so fast and I can't seem to keep my pace. Feels like only yesterday I was still in high school, clueless about life (I still am) and not worry about a single thing. Now I'm almost 23 years old. Gosh. Now I have to start thinking about future plans such as what part time jobs can I do while waiting for my placement, how can I save more money, when should I get married. Eh.

Jokes aside. My point is, I don't think I'm ready to face adult life just yet. And this, this post is just a rant honestly. I'm ranting about my life and you just wasted two minutes of your time reading it haha. But seriously, let's just hope I'm able to sort out my life before July comes because I tell you, it's a real mess.

*fingers crossed*

Skincare | Best Products For Dry Skin

The last couple of years, I have suffered from a terrible dry skin. Mind you that I used to have a normal to slightly oily skin in Malaysia and this has changed ever since I furthered my study. England tends to get very dry especially during winter and my skin somehow was affected. I would have dry patches all over my face that even a good moisturizer that I bought from Lancome could not keep my skin hydrated. Having a dry skin eventually made my skin very sensitive and even breakout with lots of acne. It wasn't a terrible breakout though, compared to some other people but since I used to have a clear skin, I can't stand looking at my face in the mirror with all the acne scars sighs*

So now I've been switching my skincare products to something that has less chemicals and not harsh on the skin compared to Loreal and that is, The Body Shop. I've been loving their products from Vitamin E range since they do wonders to my skin. Currently I'm using The Body Shop Vitamin E Gentle Cleanser, Moisture Cream in the morning and Sink-In Moisture Mask whenever I feel that my skin is extra dry. It is the middle of February now, so far I only had small dry patches on my face once in a while but it'll be gone once I apply Vitamin E mask on my face. The moisturizer also keeps my skin hydrated all the time since I wear makeups almost every single day, so a good moisturizer is a must. And I've been using the products for about four months now, so I made sure that they work on my skin before sharing with you.

So I guess switching my skincare routine helps a lot that my only concern right now is to diminish my acne scars. I think they do appear less visible now (I'll share the products I used later when all the scars are really gone) and I can't wait to have a clear skin again. Lol.

Anyway, here are some tips for dry skin:

  1. Never ever sleep with any makeup on, even if you're only putting a tiny bit of eyeliner in your waterline. Just don't.
2.   Try using cleansing oil or micellar water to remove your makeups instead of facial wipes. Sometimes facial wipes can be too harsh on the skin that it strips off the natural oil on your skin, making your skin more dry.

3.  Drink plenty of waterrrr. I bet you heard this a lot already lol.

4.  Always, always clean your face before going to bed. The least that you can do it cleanse your face with warm/cold water.

5.  Wear moisturizer day and night. This is a must. I realize that my skin will get dry if I only apply moisturizer once a day.

6.  Find a toner that is alcohol free. Alcohol in the toner will make your face dry, which is the opposite of what we want.

7.  Apply moisturizing face mask once or twice a week or whenever you feel that your skin is super dry. It'll give you an instant relief to the skin.

And that's it! It may seem a lot but once you turned into a routine, it'll become easier. Goodluck! :)

p/s: The Body Shop items can be a bit expensive in Malaysia compared to the UK, so I'll try and find a good alternative for you soon

Of Pens & Watercolors

I always loved using pens to draw but recently I fell in love with watercolors because it gives so much life to my drawings. So I thought why not giving both a try; combination of pens and watercolors to create arts. And honestly I love the result :)

A Pretty White Morning

So I was actually really looking forward for the snow to fall since this is my last winter in the UK. But UK being UK, I didn't have any high expectations considering the weather. Then, suddenly last weekend York decided to go white although it wasn't a heavy one. But still, yessss I was pretty excited. Lol typical Malaysian in me. So, after I sent Ilham to the train station, I decided to go for a quick stroll around the Museum Garden and take some photos before going to the university :)
